The event gathered a large audience of students, aspiring founders, and business professionals and served as an inspiring platform for discussing modern entrepreneurial challenges and opportunities.
Essential topics were highlighted, including the entrepreneurial journey, leadership skills, negotiation, emotional intelligence, and breaking the corporate glass ceiling. Participants also explored how new technologies, including generative AI, are reshaping the business landscape.
Below is Nionila’s full reflection on the event:
‘It was an honor and a full circle moment to speak to the next generation of women entrepreneurs at Baruch College.
When speaking at events , I strive to stay candid and vulnerable in order to provide the most value to the audience. And last week’s event was no exception. I shared some tips and tricks, real life examples and even brainstormed on some ideas to help address some of the pre-existing entrepreneurial fears around generative AI, helping to see how AI could boost certain businesses as opposed to destroying them.
It was great to receive a lot of questions from our aspiring female entrepreneurs as well as to hear their stories. It was a diverse audience with students from different countries around the world. Being in tech for so many years it was very refreshing to hear business ideas ranging from fields of fashion to entertainment to human services.
I am confident that the future is bright for female founders as long as we continue to support each other!’
Additionally, IT Creative Labs and IT PM Training consistently prioritize supporting women in business and technology. Through its initiatives, blog content, and participation in industry events, we champion equal opportunities and work to empower women at every stage of their professional path.
Nionila’s ongoing commitment to mentorship and advocacy reflects this mission and reinforces the company’s broader values around inclusion, leadership, and entrepreneurial growth.
